Bundle a set of commands into a ready function file for a datapack: download the .mcfunction and get the correct namespaced call.
A function is a plain text file of commands, one per line. Instead of a long chain of command blocks you write the sequence once and call it with a single command.
Each function lives in the functions folder of a datapack namespace and is called with function followed by its full colon-separated name.
The tool assembles the file contents, warns about duplicate lines, and hands you the finished file to download.
Pick a mode: paste existing commands, or define a new function.
Enter the namespace and function name — letters, digits and underscores only.
Type the commands, one per line. Leading slashes are added for you.
Download the file and drop it into data/<namespace>/functions/.
Check three things: the file is in the functions folder, the extension is exactly .mcfunction, and there are no duplicated commands — a duplicate makes the game skip the whole file.
No. The game accepts both, and the tool normalises the lines for you.
With function namespace:your_function_name — for example function minekit:load.
The .mcfunction file goes into data/<namespace>/functions/ inside the datapack.
